What is reactive property maintenance?

1 min read

Reactive property maintenance is the work needed when something in a property unexpectedly breaks, fails, leaks, becomes damaged or needs making safe.

Unlike planned maintenance, it starts with a problem that needs a response.

That might be a leaking pipe, a faulty light, a broken lock, a blocked drain, damaged glazing or a heating problem. Sometimes the issue is urgent; sometimes it is simply disruptive.

Either way, somebody needs to establish what has happened and get the right person there to sort it.

Why reactive maintenance becomes a headache

The repair itself is often only part of the problem. For landlords, property managers and businesses, the time-consuming part can be diagnosing which trade is required, finding somebody available, arranging access and then chasing the job through to completion.

You don't need to know which trade you need.

Tell Property Caretakers what has gone wrong and we can coordinate the response.

One point of contact

A reactive maintenance service gives you one place to go when something goes wrong. That is particularly useful when you manage several properties or simply do not want to maintain your own list of plumbers, electricians, locksmiths and other contractors.

Property Caretakers provides reactive property maintenance across Norfolk and beyond, helping property owners, managers and organisations get problems assessed and dealt with.
